ALEATICO ALEA LUDENDO

The Aleatico “Alea Ludendo” is made exclusively from Aleatico grapes grown in the Poggio Turco vineyard, located at the tip of the Ripalte. This aromatic red grape variety, part of the Moscato family, is harvested at full ripeness in the early days of September. The grapes are then dried on racks for about a week, exposed directly to the sun, a practice that gives the wine a strong character and remarkable personality.

WITHERING
After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are left to dry on racks under the sun, concentrating the aromas and sugars, for about a week.

VINIFICATION
A short maceration on the skins follows, enriching the must with structure and complexity. Fermentation proceeds slowly until it naturally halts, determined by the high residual sugar content, which contributes to the wine’s richness and depth.

AGEING
The wine matures in steel tanks, preserving its freshness and aromatic purity. Bottling takes place in the summer following the harvest, ensuring balance and elegance.

TASTING NOTES
Colour: Ruby red with garnet reflections.
Aroma: Aromas of dried fruit, cherry jam and spices.
Taste: Sweet, but well balanced by acidity, it offers a long, enveloping and harmonious finish.

In addition to classic pairings with tarts and dry pastries, Aleatico “Alea Ludendo” pairs excellently with chocolate desserts. Another intriguing match can be made with spicy cheeses, both blue and non-blue, such as sweet or spicy Gorgonzola and Roquefort, offering a rich and enveloping tasting experience.
